Find E-mail sender location-Track User IP address in Gmail

What is IP Address

A number which identifies the location of a client (web surfer) on the Internet. In theory this is a unique number which can be used to identify separate visitors. An IP address serves two principal functions: host or network interface identification and location addressing
IP addresses can be considered sensitive information.

To Track IP address

1. Login your Gmail account
2. Click the mail you want to check
3. Click button the arrow, at the right of "Reply" [inverted Triangle symbol next to Reply]
4. Press the “Show Original"
A new screen will appear from there you note the "received from" IP address
Example: 193.105.34.62 Then copy and paste it to any IP locator and it will display details.

IP2Location Search Box

The only problem with that is that the IP address displayed is sometimes the email server's IP and not that of the sender.

The IP of those who send from a Gmail address is hidden.
Gmail gave a explanation for this :
Don't worry -- we aren't enabling spammers to abuse the system by not revealing IP addresses. Gmail uses many innovative spam filtering mechanisms to ensure that spammers have a difficult time sending bulk emails that arrive in users inbox
